Beetles 9 Patch EDesign

$24.00

More designs to keep you fingers busy with painting or appliqué and of course quilting. This design features nine, 8″ x 11″ Beetle blocks all drawn from my imagination. Such a variety of shapes and sizes and different body details.

In my sample, you may notice the background for each block looks a little different. It looks like paper? It is paper and I turned it into Faux Fabric!

I share my Faux Fabric technique in this EDesign plus a more conventional alternative.

Paint, colour, applique or embroider these cute 6 legged critters and learn how to create Faux Fabric!

Description

More designs to keep you fingers busy with painting or appliqué, collage or embroidery and of course quilting. This design features nine, 8″ x 11″ Beetle blocks all drawn from my imagination. Such a variety of shapes and sizes and different body details.

In my sample I painted the rectangle blocks without sashings and added 3″ border creating a finished wall quilt 30″ x 39″”. You could enlarge each block and use the designs individually and create cushions or bags.  I am planning to shrink the designs and create a 9 patch miniature on black with my Lumiere paints.

In my sample I painted my beetles. You can certainly applique them and add details with a Sharpie marker or embellish with embroidery. You could draw and colour with inktense pencils too.

You may notice the background for each block looks a little different. It looks like paper? It is paper and I turned it into Faux Fabric!

For this technique, I collected newspaper, music sheets, stationary, book pages, postage stamps and even a little fabric. I share my Faux Fabric technique in the pattern plus a more conventional alternative.
